TTI, Inc. is looking for a Contract Specialist at our Corporate office in Northwest Fort Worth, TX.

The Contract Specialist is accountable for managing, with manager input, all contract activities, including contract reviews, maintenance, and reporting. This individual also works with stakeholders to provide recommendations, guidance on the effect of legal language, and will review and revise contracts.

ACCOUNTABILITIES



  • Prepare contracts by reviewing the contract terms, using precise terminology, drafting the contract, and ensuring approval authorized stakeholders is obtained.
  • Prepare reports and contract summaries as required by management.
  • Perform and participate in company audits.
  • Maintain contract databases by uploading signed contracts in a timely manner.
  • Document workflow using software supported workflow management processes.
  • Work with various internal stakeholders, under the guidance of management, to substantiate, communicate, and authorize special contract terms.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion, both within and outside of the company, while handling contracts, workflows, and confidential information.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and developments.
  • Meet Key Performance Indicators on number and quality of contract reviews.



DISTRIBUTION SUBJECT-MATTER ACCOUNTABILITIES



  • Possess sufficient subject-matter familiarity to understand and edit provisions in a distribution context regarding: confidentiality; data and cyber security; export and trade compliance; Federal regulation flow-downs; conflict minerals; corporate responsibility; shipping and delivery; IncoTerms; taxes, customs, and duties; pricing; indemnification; insurance; limitation of liability; ISO; intellectual property; product non-conformance; product recalls; quality; and product last-buy.
  • Provide back-up support for Rep and Cert department and/or Legal & Compliance teammates when they are out of office.
  • Review, revise, or draft contracts with customers, suppliers, manufacturers, and other business partners, using precise and accurate legal terminology, with few typos.
  • Provide feedback/guidance regarding contract documents and contract matters on process improvements, cost reduction opportunities, and compliance or governance.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE



  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in a contract review role or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • In lieu of experience, candidates with a Juris Doctor (JD) will be considered. Requires strong writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Requires maintaining a high level of confidentiality and discretion.

  • Organizational skills, administrative skills, and multitasking ability.
  • Strong attention to detail, lack of errors and typos.
  • Ability to analyze the impact of decisions before execution.
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute.
  • Computer knowledge in a Microsoft Windows environment. Intermediate skills using MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  • Must have the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
