The Role

Lumen is seeking multiple NOC Technicians to join our Transport Network Operations Center team. The Transport NOC provides support and trouble resolution on the Lumen Transport network. The NOC Technician III will be responsiblefor monitoring the networks for trouble events using multiple network monitoring tools, responding to client trouble reports via email and phone, and creating trouble tickets and dispatch tickets to resolve or escalate trouble tickets.

This position will work closely with other Lumen organizations toward the resolution of service impacting network events and will have a direct impact on the resolution of complex trouble situations. Location

This is a hybridrole with multiple openings and is open to candidates based in Denver, CO; Atlanta, GA; Tempe, AZ; or Monroe, LA. Shifts for this team are on a 24/7 schedule and candidates must have the ability to work any shift in a 7x24x365 environment.

Shifts for these positions are to be determined but each will be assigned a set schedule of days between Monday to Sunday, either working day shifts (6:00 AM-4:00 PM), swing shifts (12:00 PM-10:00 PM), or mid shifts (9:00 PM-7:00 AM).

The Main Responsibilities

Monitors and maintains the Lumen Transport Network. Works the repair of network equipment and facilities with field operations, next level supportother Lumen teams, and off-net providers.
Knows equipment-specific maintenance procedures and can assist field ops in card swaps and equipment restoral.
Takes the lead in driving equipment and facility repair.
Recognizetransport network topology and can make final go/no-go decisions on maintenance activities based on current network status.
Analyzesnetwork events and identifies critical issues, setting appropriate priorities to maintain network reliability.
Able to follow MOPs, anticipate problems, and take corrective action proactively.
Demonstrates a thorough understanding of transport networks and Lumen repair procedures.
Ability to workminimal supervision in a 24x7 Network Operations Center.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Teamwork and interpersonalskills are critical.
Self-initiative and excellent communication skills.
Advanced knowledgein SONET, SDH, and DWDM equipment maintenance and troubleshooting a plus.
Knowledge of transport network operations centers processes and tools.
Experience with Ciena, Infinera, Fuji, Cisco, Nortel, Nokia, Coriant, Huawei or similar.

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individualpay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$48,700 - $65,000 in these states: AZ GA LA OK
$51,188 - $68,250 in these states: CO
