What You Will Do:

  • Follow safety policies to provide a safe workplace for all employees and supports the guiding principles of Goal Zero to continually improve the plant's safety, health and environmental performance, security, design, development, manufacture, storage, marketing, distribution, use and ultimate safe disposal of chemical products. Drive culture of safety; Report safety observations / incidents
  • Supports and is committed to the Quality Improvement Process. Plans strategies to ensure error-free work by "doing it right the first time" and conveys this attitude in the daily performance of various duties, in our drive for continuous improvement.
  • Identify areas for process improvement within the roles and functions.
  • Effectively managing all functions of the local Supply Chain and developing collaborative partnerships with both colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Responsible for delivering the agreed upon business results while maintaining positive employee relations.
  • The primary accountabilities of the role include Supply Chain financial performance, plant production, Customer Service, Quality, SHE, labor relations, people, and organization development, and maintaining strong community relations
  • Be an effective and valuable member of the local management team, to ensure delivery of subsidiary business results.
  • Work within a structure that requires considerable interface with Divisional and corporate management.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that all functions in the Supply Chain are aligned with corporate goals.
  • As one of the visible representatives of the site, the Plant Manager also assumes a key role in developing productive relationships with the local community, vendors, and regulatory agencies
  • Accountable for the quality and productivity of the site, and its ability to deliver high levels of service to internal and external customers.
  • Manages the people, materials, equipment, and business and manufacturing processes to deliver site performance objectives, as measured by corporate and local KPI's.
  • Develops and implements local Supply Chain Margin Improvement Programs.
  • As part of the local management team, interfaces and liaises with Division and Corporate headquarters to manage communication and information flow between the plant and external environment.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors site operating budgets.
  • Develops and implements strategic Capital Expense Budgets to ensure the long term technical and financial viability of the site's manufacturing processes and ensures alignment of the budget to divisional and corporate Supply Chain strategy.
  • Accountable for adhering to ChampionX, local and governmental guidelines related to SHE, Quality, Regulatory and Code of Conduct/Ethics.
  • Issues appropriate corporate communications regarding situation alerts, SHE & Quality incidents.
  • Develops and aligns the local Supply Chain vision, mission, strategy, and objectives with divisional and corporate strategy and objectives.
  • Implements SHE/TPM and other continuous improvement programs within the plant.
  • Develops and executes appropriate communication strategy for the Supply Chain to support on-going achievement of the business goals.
  • Develops and implements labor strategy for the plant in partnership with HR.
  • Develops and executes a site master plan of the manufacturing and distribution facilities, as well as organizational capabilities, necessary to support future business growth.
  • As part of the management team, the Plant Manager develops a crisis management plan, as per corporate guidelines.
  • Builds and enables high performing teams. Empowers subordinates by way of training, information sharing, coaching, feedback, appraisals, and delegation, to ensure the development of people and organizational capabilities. Additionally, is responsible for developing and executing the site succession plan.
  • Acts as a corporate resource, providing support on task forces, acquisition studies, and other major project support as needed.
  • Accountable for the integrity of the business processes related to finished goods inventory replenishment, and new product introductions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain management, or related field of study
  • 8 years of Supply Chain, Operations or related experience
  • 5 years of supervisory management experience
  • No Immigration Sponsorship available for this opportunity
  • Experience in CI methodology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment

Physical Demands:

  • Role is deemed safety sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing
