We are seeking an experienced, collaborative, and results-oriented Corporate Travel and Expense Manager. This role involves managing travel, expenses, transportation, fleet management programs, and strategic sourcing for events support. You will develop strategies to deliver sustainable results across all travel programs while identifying opportunities for value and process improvement. Building strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple functions and regions and sourcing high-quality outsourced services are key aspects of this role. Additionally, you will manage travel sub-categories and support the sourcing of locations and services for events in partnership with our Global Operations and Commercial Department, striving to meet departmental and functional goals with urgency and clarity.

What You Will Be Doing:



  • Manage a global travel program that scales with the company's growth, collaborating with suppliers in areas such as events, conferences, meetings, air travel, lodging, and ground transportation.
  • Manage 10x Travel and Expense (T&E) Card issuance and management
  • Maintain the relationship with the global travel management agency, Concur Expense tool, ensuring that service levels are met in partnership with our Accounting department
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leadership across the organization to drive strategies that provide optimal service levels for travel while controlling costs.
  • Partner with Finance and Procurement to measure and assess Travel & Expense (T&E) performance against KPIs and benchmarks.
  • Enhance systems to improve the user experience within the program while leveraging insights from industry peers and building relationships with external suppliers.
  • Work closely with security to implement a travel risk management program.
  • Demonstrate expert-level experience in configuring Concur travel and expense functionalities, including expense types and user settings, to ensure a user-friendly experience.
  • Align Concur with expense types, cost centers, and GL codes, integrating financial processes with Oracle, Workday, and Bank of America for efficient reporting.


Minimum Requirements:



  • 5+ years of experience in travel management and sourcing, including global experience
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience is required
  • Proficiency with Concur Travel and Expense in a corporate environment
  • On-site expectation: This role is based in Pleasanton, CA and on-site five days a week
  • Proficient in MS Office and Google applications
  • Ability to communicate effectively and frequently, listen carefully, and actively seek and value the perspectives of others
  • In-depth understanding of the travel, fleet, and the events marketplace; deep industry and/or professional relationships with suppliers and agencies
  • Strong analytical skills, including a deep understanding of travel, fleet management, and expenses
  • Past experiences challenging the status quo by developing business cases for change
  • through leveraging business acumen, market intelligence, and insights to drive a broad strategic impact across an organization
  • Demonstrated contract and agreement negotiation experience, including development of negotiating plans and strategies for travel and event services.
  • Vendor and account management experience
  • Travel may be required up to 20% of the time.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • 3+ years leading the development and management of category plans or sourcing strategies.
  • Strong relationship-management skills and ability to communicate effectively, and collaborate with, senior-to-exec management with ability to tell compelling stories through insights and data.
  • Active participation with Travel Industry advisory boards and attendance to annual Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) and Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE)

Below is the base pay range for this full-time position. The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one's skills, qualifications, and experience. At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company's total compensation package. This role is also eligible for 10x's equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program.
