Data Science Intern - Summer 2025

Position Description:

The Intern - Data Scientist is responsible for providing reports and advanced analytics across the eCommerce Business Unit helping improve sales forecast, pricing, product configuration, process mining, and CLV management among other aspects of the commercial operation.

Job Responsibilites:

• Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
• Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, sales & marketing, and business strategies.
• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques. Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
• Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.
• Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality.
• Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
• Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy

Basic Qualifications:

• Applicants must be pursuing a Bachelors, Masters in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics or a similar quantitative field. You must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Python, SQL, and Spark to manipulate data and draw insights from large datasets
• Basic knowledge of machine learning techniques (Clustering, Tree-Based Methods, Neural Networks, etc.)
• Statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, etc.)
• Determined to deliver high-quality work
• Must have good energy, a positive attitude, and thrive in creative thinking
• Real problem solver and confident to make decisions
• Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on data product development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
• A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
• Self-starter with ability to prioritize critical tasks, as well as deliver on assignments within deadlines
