Job Summary
Spectrum Brands is looking for an eCommerce Merchandiser to join the team. The candidate will be responsible for merchandising across multiple eCommerce platforms and marketplaces, such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, Wayfair and others. This position will focus on setting up new products, manage catalog data across all key marketplaces, improving SEO and keyword optimization, monitoring performance as well as improving processes. This individual needs to be an analytical problem solver and able to develop and implement new processes. Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Product Set Up: Responsible for launching products on time across all key marketplaces.
- Catalog & Data Management: Manage the catalog data across all marketplaces, ensuring listings have complete data enrichment for all attributes
- New Product Launches: Plan and execute product launches across all marketplaces, including data preparation, media creation, and final product uploads.
- Data Collection: Research and gather product specs, descriptions, and images from reliable sources for uploads.
- SEO & Keyword Optimization: Conduct keyword research for SEO optimization and update /edit product copy and metadata for clarity.
- Optimization: Utilize data to drive optimization and improved conversion, enhance product photos; ensure high-quality product visuals and product attributes.
- Monitoring & Updating: Regularly review live products, track performance, and make updates or corrections as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvements to streamline product management workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Collaboration: Engage cross functional departments, sharing Amazon results and educating the organization on the Amazon channel. Develop and share best practices with Amazon teams in other countries around the globe.
Education and Experience Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, MIS, Merchandising or a related field
Required Skills
- 2+ years of merchandising experience with a DTC website or marketplace
- Knowledge of other e-commerce marketplaces a plus
- Knowledge of PIM and DAM systems a plus
- Experience in reporting tools and performance metrics
- Tech savvy with high proficiency in the MS Office suite
- Proactive, results-oriented mindset with an attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and teamwork ethic
- Ability to comfortably manage multiple projects at a time, while staying on deadline and sustaining quality of work.
- Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction
