Description and Requirements

Lenovo's International Sales Organization is seeking a Senior Communications Specialist, Employee and Executive Communications, to play a critical role in crafting, managing, and executing a wide range of communications in support of the international sales force and its executive sales leadership.

The International Sales Organization comprises Lenovo's go-to-market teams that deliver products and solutions to customers and partners around the world in markets throughout North America, Latin America, Europe, Middle East, & Africa, and Asia Pacific. This role will primarily be responsible for employee communications across the international sales force, with strong integration and collaboration with geography communications and sales enablement teams. Employee communications work will encompass the development and distribution of strategic, operational, and culture-focused communications, as well as supporting high-profile internal announcements. This role will also participate in executive communications related to employee town halls, leading executive social media for the President of International Sales Organization, and occasional support for customer- and partner-facing presentations.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in writing for both internal and external audiences, with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of communication tools and processes. The ideal candidate is resourceful in establishing and fostering the right connections across the business to source pertinent information for the target audience, perceptive and adept at identifying gaps and improvements needed to refine the employee communications strategy for the sales audience, and discerning of appropriate messaging and appropriate channels (e-mail, web, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and distribute communications tailored for a global sales audience. Ensure messages align with organizational priorities and track readership and engagement across communication channels.

  • Manage social media for the President of the International Sales Organization, working with agency and internal colleagues to source, write, and post relevant content.

  • Collaborate with global corporate, business units, marketing, and global and regional sales enablement teams to capture key sales announcements and customer/partner insights.

  • Establish and manage a communication calendar to oversee messaging to sellers across global and local levels; implement "air traffic control" to ensure message consistency and avoid messaging overload to sellers.

  • Develop and manage content across diverse communication channels, including employee townhalls, email, newsletters, and web platforms using text, graphic, video, and audio mediums.

  • Occasionally support and contribute to narrative and presentation content for customer- and partner-facing events on behalf of the President of the International Sales Organization.

  • Implement metrics to measure the effectiveness of communications across channels.

  • Analyze data from the employee surveys and other feedback tools to assess employee sentiment and improve communication methods accordingly.

  • Maintain communication tools such as inboxes, platforms, and distribution lists

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or a related field

  • Fluent English writer/speaker

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a global or complex organizational structure, working with multiple stakeholders across different regions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences and translate complex technical topics (e.g., artificial intelligence) into clear and engaging content.

  • Diplomacy to enforce communications policies and procedures, providing constructive pushback when necessary to ensure compliance and uphold organizational standards.

  • Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive company information with care and professionalism.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all communications.
