Manager Merchant Sales- (50% Travel)

This position provides leadership, strategic direction, and daily oversight for the Merchant Services sales team. Directs sales efforts to achieve production goals, monitoring team performance and offering guidance on client acquisition. Identifies opportunities for revenue growth by monitoring market trends. Focuses on internal business development through partnership with branch, business, and commercial banking, maintaining influential relationships in order to sell Merchant Services.

• Sales - Manages a team that actively sells Merchant Services solutions, holding associates accountable for a sales pipeline of both new and cross-selling opportunities. Develops and drives sales strategies for revenue growth. Observes and participates in sales efforts to accurately coach on performance.
• Managerial Functions - Establishes and monitors expectations to achieve company and department goals. Oversees the performance, training, and evaluation of assigned staff. Maximizes department achievements by providing sales and professional development. Manages the budget and authorizes expenses of direct reports.
• Relationship Development - Maintain influential relationships with executives, senior management, and peer managers to ensure alignment with market goals and referral sources. Provides guidance to staff on customer retention, consultation, and satisfaction.
• Market Awareness - Maintains awareness of market conditions, trends, and related factors. Anticipates opportunities and positions the Bank for proactive response.

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Retail or Business, or Merchant Sales OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Retail or Business Banking, or Merchant Sales

Ability to travel 50%

- Willing to travel 50% of the time will cover markets all over the US
