Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Maintenance Technician to work in our Secure Operations department. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Research and Education Campus in Idaho Falls with every other Friday off. You will perform landlord technician services to help maintain secure facilities; this includes janitorial services, operation of cleaning equipment, yard equipment, snow removal equipment, weed control equipment, and an industrial paper shredder. Consult with engineers, work planners, and operations personnel on landlord maintenance issues and associated equipment. Perform furniture moves and assembly, meeting setup and take down. Assist mechanical and operations technicians. Work is performed to maintenance work orders and laboratory instructions. You will report to the manager for Secure Operations department. Responsibilities Include:
- Cleaning floors (carpet, tile, and some concrete). Maintain the bathrooms by cleaning and ensuring they are supplied with required inventory.
- Remove cold waste from secure facilities and buildings.
- Maintain roads and grounds. Perform snow removal. Keep security fences and grounds free from debris and weeds.
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and request new supplies to be ordered.
- Perform furniture moves and assembly.
- Assist in painting and mechanical work of secure facilities and production equipment.
- Perform duties removing and disposing of waste using a paper dis-integrator.
- Assist plant operations by performing escorting duties to bring uncleared individuals into the plant.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Level 2: High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related experience.
- Related experience for this position includes at least 2 years of professional work in facility maintenance or custodial roles, specifically involving floor cleaning, bathroom maintenance, waste removal, grounds upkeep, inventory management, furniture assembly, painting, mechanical work, and escorting duties within secure facilities.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
Job Information:
- The pay range for this position is $22.43 min - $37.00 max. At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
- TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
