Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Territory Manager I to share customer best practices in simulation and program adoption, aiming to improve outcomes and reduce time to impact for hospitals, professional education institutions, government, military, and EMS organizations, ultimately helping save more lives. This role involves working closely with alliance and strategic partners, as well as key customers, to ensure cohesive local teamwork and resource synchronization for maximum customer benefit. Additionally, the position requires a consultative sales approach within the territory to effectively achieve financial goals.
Responsibilities:
Sales and Market Expansion:
- Efficiently run operations to increase sales and market share.
- Create new opportunities and move them through the sales stages to successful close.
- Adjust activity levels to align with corporate strategy and drive business goals.
Customer Engagement and Management:
- Capture customer engagements and sales opportunities weekly in Sales Force CRM.
- Plan and execute at least two product showcases, Mini Meetings, or Mini-SUN meetings annually.
- Represent Laerdal at local and national shows to cultivate opportunities.
- Direct customers to appropriate resources for effective service and support.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Collaborate with internal and external resources, including Marketing, SimCapture Sales Specialists, Educational
- Specialists, Business Development Managers, EMS Sales Managers, Distributor reps, Government Account Executives, and strategic partners.
- Maintain daily communication with Account Manager counterpart to strategize account coverage and contact plans.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare, analyze, and execute monthly and quarterly reporting of revenue results, performance metrics, and opportunity funnel.
- Create action plans based on analysis to reach revenue goals.
- Prepare and submit weekly expense reports for approval and payment.
- Participate in monthly forecast/review meetings with the Regional Manager and Account Manager team.
Product and Industry Knowledge:
- Develop and maintain competencies in key areas such as the Circle of Learning, Simulation in Healthcare, Emergency Care Portfolio, and Resuscitation Care Portfolio.
- Utilize consultative selling techniques across all segments.
- Understand clinical situations and learning curricula relevant to our solutions.
- Manage demonstration equipment accurately and efficiently.
Requirements:
- Ideal candidate must reside within Nebraska, South Dakota, and Iowa.
- Willing to travel at least 60% of the time (Travel will be primarily within defined territory but will in some cases require travel outside the territory to support Regional or National Meetings).
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences or business (preferred) and three years sales experience with medical disposable or capital equipment; OR, Associates Degree in above mention fields of study, supported by 5 years of sales experience.
- Competent in Windows Office Suite of Products. Additional command a working knowledge of a CRM system and webinar software is preferred.
- Valid Driver's License required
- Ability to lift and carry supplies, files, and product up to 100 lbs. with or without mechanical assistance
Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000, additional $74,800 variable compensation at 100% to plan.
