Is an internship passionate about changing the world's energy future intriguing? If so, we might have just the opportunity you're looking for!

Reporting to the Reactor Physics Methods and Analysis group, you will have the opportunity to perform both software development to develop new capabilities for reactor analysis tools as well as nuclear engineering analysis with an emphasis on advanced non-LWR designs and systems. The ideal candidate will have nuclear engineering software experience in NJOY, Serpent, MCNP, and Griffin. This team works a 9x80 schedule onsite at our Idaho Falls campus. You may be eligible for course credit for the is internship if approved by your university.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:




  • Doctorate student enrolled full time at an accredited college/university studying Nuclear Engineering



  • A minimum overall (3.0) GPA



  • Authorization to work in the U.S. (including CPT and OPT)

Compensation and Benefits:




  • Undergraduate Internships ($26.16/hour - $31.47/hour)



  • Masters Internships and PhD Internships Pre-Candidacy ($32.87/hour - $35.26/hour)



  • PhD Internships Post-Candidacy ($35.95/hour - $38.41/hour)



  • Eligible interns are provided paid holiday time off, and many of our internships offer travel reimbursements.



  • Multi-Level: This is a multi-level posting and you will be placed at the appropriate level dependent on degree field and level of education.
