Process Engineering Intern

Westinghouse Parts Business (WPB) seeks an Engineering Intern at our New Stanton, PA facility to support the WPB Fulfillment team. The New Stanton site works on projects to enhance plant safety and reliability by providing the instrumentation and control, pumps and motors, and electro-mechanical products and services that our customers require. This position will support our Process Engineering team, responsible for defining the manufacturing processes for our products. Specific job responsibilities are as follows:

Your Day-to-Day:

• Support development and improvement of manufacturing processes for wide variety of products ranging from power supplies to eletro-mechanical circuit breakers to machined components.
• Support development of enhanced inspection processes for machined components.
• Evaluate manufacturing Bills of Materials (BOMs) to improve consistency across product lines.
• Evaluate business process management software and identify/implement opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Work effectively as part of a cross-functional team including quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, design engineering, planning and shop technicians.
• Planning and scheduling work to meet assignment requirements.

Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 strongly preferred.
• Completion of Sophomore year of college
• Must be able to work a minimum of 8 weeks; 10 plus weeks preferred.
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
