Overview

If you have a passion for patient care, innovative pharmacy initiatives, and developing and managing a team of pharmacy professionals, join our team as our Pharmacy Clinical Program Manager. As the Pharmacy Clinical Program Manager, you will oversee the clinical pharmacy programs and related initiatives that support pharmacy operations, guest satisfaction and loyalty, employee engagement and financial results of the Pharmacy department.

  • Effectively manage all clinical pharmacy programs and associated initiatives; in particular, development, implementation, training, support, maintenance and the corresponding pharmacy operations and financial objectives of the Pharmacy department.
  • Responsible for managing pharmacy programs and related operations within the Pharmacy department, including supporting compliance with all Company policies and Federal, State and local laws governing the practice of retail pharmacy.
  • Support Pharmacy Operations team, field-level pharmacy staff, and related Company departments to achieve clinical pharmacy, department, and enterprise goals.
  • Provide direct supervision to direct reports on the day-to-day performance of their job. Develop a culture that engages employees by building team spirit, recognition, training and development, providing clear expectations and accountability through coaching. Actively involved in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, completing performance evaluations, and handling discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Attend and conduct company, store, and department meetings.
  • Complete the necessary continuing education and training necessary to maintain an active pharmacy license, vaccination and CPR certifications.
  • Participate in community outreach programs including presentations to selected audiences, community education programs, health expos, brown bag and related facility events, disease state programs, etc. as overseen and guided by the Company's Pharmacy Operations and Marketing departments.
  • Participate in assigned special project work as needed in an effort to build pharmacy programs that can be utilized across all or many of the pharmacy locations.
  • Perform other duties within the Pharmacy department or other areas as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Observe and enforce all company policies, rules, and safety practices.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • PharmD: Graduated from an accredited College of Pharmacy in 1996 or later OR have successfully completed MTM certification.
  • MTM residency preferred but not mandatory; will consider equivalent combination of education and experience providing clinical services.
  • Successful completion of Immunization Training is required.
  • Minimum of two years experience working as a community pharmacist.
  • Must understand Medicare, Medicaid and commercial billing and related compliance requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge of Pharmacy related State and Federal laws and statutes.
  • Previous management experience preferred.
