Staffmark is on the hunt for a talented Buyer in Woodstock, CT. If you're a seasoned pro in purchasing, supply chain management, and negotiation, we want to hear from you!

Pay Rate: $55K - $65K (Please specify pay rate based on shift)

Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (Monday - Friday)

As a Buyer, your main task will be negotiating with manufacturers and service providers to secure the best prices for materials and goods. You'll be the go-to person for making purchase recommendations, staying on top of market trends, and ensuring smooth supply chain operations.

Responsibilities:



  • Evaluate suppliers for quality, timeliness, and alignment with company goals
  • Monitor material flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks
  • Troubleshoot inventory issues and resolve them
  • Forecast market challenges based on industry trends
  • Address supplier quality concerns and on-time delivery issues
  • Manage deadlines and expectations for multiple projects
  • Obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and place orders




Qualifications:



  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; ERP (Epicor) experience a plus
  • Must have manufacturing knowledge; engineering experience is a bonus
  • Detail-oriented, effective communicator, and strong multitasker
  • Able to prioritize, delegate, and work well in a team
  • Comfortable working under pressure and managing your schedule
  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Able to sit for extended periods and work on a computer
