Product PR Intern

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Join Salesforce for an exciting summer internship in 2025! We are looking for dynamic and motivated individuals to join our Product PR, Employee Communications, and Corporate PR teams. These internships offer hands-on experience in Public Relations and Communications, contributing to Salesforce's storytelling around AI, agent innovation, and customer success. You'll support media relations, thought leadership, and event initiatives, helping to craft narratives that highlight Salesforce's role as a technology leader. These roles are perfect for those who love writing, research, and connecting ideas to broader trends-and who enjoy keeping a pulse on the latest in tech and media.

YOUR IMPACT (RESPONSIBILITIES):
Product PR Intern:

  • Assist with customer storytelling initiatives, highlighting the best customer stories across agentic AI use cases.
  • Create media briefing books, compiling key messaging and insights to prepare executives for interviews.
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage, identifying moments to tie Salesforce's messaging to relevant industry conversations.
  • Support PR efforts for customer and product announcements and events.
  • Draft and edit press releases, blog posts, and media pitches to amplify Salesforce's innovation and customer success.
  • Stay informed on tech and media trends, contributing fresh ideas to our PR strategy and planning.

Corporate PR Intern:

  • Assist with thought leadership projects by researching industry trends and identifying opportunities to position Salesforce as an AI leader.
  • Create media briefing books, compiling key messaging and insights to prepare executives for interviews.
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage, identifying moments to tie Salesforce's messaging to relevant industry conversations.
  • Support PR efforts for corporate announcements and events.
  • Draft and edit press releases, blog posts, and media pitches to amplify Salesforce's innovation and customer success.
  • Stay informed on tech and media trends, contributing fresh ideas to our PR strategy and planning.

Employee Communications Intern:

  • Partner closely with the Culture & Strategy Employee Communications team to build and deliver impactful, integrated communications.
  • Translate our narrative into amazing, on-brand communications, content, visuals, and presentations for our employees.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to support a unified narrative across our communications.
  • Create communications campaigns that leverage the best channel mix and content to engage and delight employees.
  • Manage projects end-to-end and build relationships and skills to get the job done well while having fun.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current Sophomore/Rising Junior pursuing a BA/BS in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with an interest in storytelling.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • A creative thinker with a positive attitude and willingness to tackle challenges.
  • Interest in technology and innovation, especially AI and customer engagement.
  • A collaborative team player who takes initiative and delivers results.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience creating presentations to showcase strategies and metrics-based outcomes.
  • Experience working in Slack and using workflows, managing channels.
  • Experience working in collaborative writing environments.
  • Experience in journalism, technical writing, creative writing, marketing, event planning, communications, or public relations.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program pursuing a Bachelor's degree.
  • Please note that this position does not offer relocation assistance. Candidates must be able to work from the San Francisco office without the need for relocation support.
