Surestep is seeking a dynamic candidate to serve as an Education Specialist with a comprehensive understanding of pediatric orthotics. The company is dedicated to achieving its vision and mission of education excellence within the pediatric orthotic industry. The Education Specialist will be performing all duties related to delivering Surestep product and clinical education, including the development of new courses, course revisions, and practitioner continuing educational training/support. This position will require frequent travel to conduct education seminars, speaking engagements, trade shows, or additional travel to HQ for conferences or workshops needed to collaborate on Marketing and Educational initiatives. Relocation is not required.



Your Impact

    Continually develop and deliver educational courses, in coordination with Surestep Education team. Courses to be delivered in a variety of mediums: live webinars, on demand online, national conferences, universities, or live in-services.
  • Ensure that required components of education programs meet the accreditation standards and correspond to the continuing education mission of the organization.
  • Maintain awareness of educational best practices, trends, and new potential in educational technology, as well as progressive strategies for education within the O&P industry.
  • Assists with the process of systematic review and evaluation of the success of the educational programs and overall educational model, including the development and monitoring of outcomes and plans of action for improvement based on the assessment of those outcomes and plans.
  • Represent the interests of Surestep in regional and state meetings and serve as liaison to industry partners and organization for work on collaborative projects.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Orthotic and Prosthetics or related field. Certified Orthotist/Certified Prosthetist Orthotist credentials preferred.
  • Licensed Physical Therapist and a combination of experience, and education commensurate with essential duties of the position may also be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver's license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.

  • Broad understanding of learning management systems.
  • Expected to have extensive knowledge of delivery methods, including both virtual and in-person delivery.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and related programs like WebEx.
  • Technical knowledge to trouble-shoot computer, projectors, and additional equipment while working independently on the road.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and be self-directed as well as team oriented.
  • Energetic and creative with high ethical standards.
  • Appropriate professional image to serve as a representative of Surestep.

Pay range of $89,100.00 - $115,000.00 salary range + bonus + benefits. This pay range is posted to comply with wage transparency laws. Hanger salary ranges vary based on skill, ability, knowledge, geographic location and other variables.
