Are you ready to lead a dynamic team and make a significant impact in the Community Retail & Long Term Care (CRLTC) segment? As the Director of Account Management, you will be at the forefront of developing and coaching a talented group of Account Managers and Account Coordinators. Your focus will be on fostering long-term relationships with customers and sales team members, acting as a key point of escalation for high-priority initiatives, and ensuring that your team's efforts align with Cencora's organizational goals.

In this role, you will oversee a dedicated team managing diverse CRLTC customers, driving retention of existing business while increasing profitable revenues. Your leadership will be crucial in achieving daily operational excellence and creating a collaborative environment where team members thrive.   • Leadership and Team Development:

    • Lead, develop, and coach a team of Account Managers and Account Coordinators.

    • Provide valuable coaching, hiring, training, and upskilling to improve team consistency, quality, and effectiveness.

    • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, team meetings, and focused check-ins to support team members' career development, goal progress, and mental wellbeing.

    • Foster a culture of trust, open communication, and proactive feedback.

  • Customer Relationship Management:

    • Support Account Managers in building and maintaining relationships with key customer stakeholders, within the CRLTC segment & Cencora cross functional teams

    • Serve as a thought leader and trusted advisor to senior management to operationalize customer servicing requirements, including serving as a point of escalation for customer and team issues.

    • Participate in quarterly business reviews with sales and Account Managers to discuss financial and service metrics.

  • Operational Excellence:

    • Ensure the team maintains customer-specific documentation (e.g., operations manuals, account profiles) and uses approved templates and marketing materials.

    • Oversee the use of various dashboards and tools (e.g., Cencora Operations Dashboard, Price & Contracts Dashboard, ABForce/CRM Documentation) to navigate customer conversations and assess performance.

    • Monitor and manage the team's adherence to internal processes and procedures, including meeting management and documentation standards.

  • Strategic Alignment and Execution:

    • Collaborate with CRLTC sales teams to align on customer goals and account growth strategies.

    • Contribute to strategic initiatives based on deep customer knowledge and understanding of internal operations.

    • Execute against the customer segmentation model to deliver upon customer experience needs.

  • Performance Management:

    • Track and report on team performance metrics, including any identified gap-to-goals within agreed upon annual performance goals and any future scorecard initiatives.

    • Provide monthly updates on team members' progress toward goals and highlight any risks and success.

    • Recognize and reward team achievements through TrueBlue awards and other recognition programs.

  • Travel Requirements:

    • Willingness to travel within the selected geographic territory (including overnight travel) for events such as conferences, national and regional sales meetings.

    • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project/Program Management, Healthcare Management, Accounting, Sales, Marketing, Computer Sciences, or a related field. MBA is preferred.

  • Experience in community retail, long-term care, or related healthcare industries is preferred.

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of directly related and progressively responsible experience in account management or a related field.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Demonstrated consultative skills and ability to facilitate group consensus.

  • Strong customer service skills and a proactive attitude.

  • Excellent problem-solving and follow-through skills.

  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships.

  • Demonstrated project management skills, including leading and managing multiple projects.

  • Ability to work with data and translate it into actionable insights.

  • Proficiency with CRM systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.

Salary Range*
$98,200 - 151,360

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
