The Opportunity:

Avantor, a Global Fortune 500 company is looking for a dedicated Senior Product Manager to optimize our Single Use and Systems Product Management organization. This role is full-time, remote.

Minimum Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred

Travel:

  • Up to 25% both domestic and global

Required Experience (6+ YRS):

  • Product management, sales and/or marketing experience in the life sciences industry

Preferred Experience:

  • With single use technologies for bioprocessing applications
  • Technical or commercial experience with single use products and applications.
  • Financial (P&L).
  • Business case development/ articulation.
  • Guiding objective decision making processes.
  • Analytical experience.
  • Technical experience /competence with bioproduction.
  • Project management and planning skill experience.
  • Decision making as well as experience adopting to change.
  • Business level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working in a matrixed organizational structure.

How you will thrive and create an impact:

This role is part of the Biopharma - Product Management organization. The single use oriented Senior Product Manager will thrive by engaging with a high sense of urgency and will:

  • Lead the single use portfolio for use in biopharma production applications. This will include portfolio management, strategy development, pricing, life cycle management and top/bottom line growth management.
  • Be responsible for a unique combination of external partnership development for bag and single use assembly and traditional product life cycle management to differentiate Avantor's position in single use bioprocessing.
  • Function as the business owner,
  • Lead the single use bag assembly's portfolio of products with P&L responsibility, including meeting or exceeding revenue and gross margin targets, lead all aspects of business.
  • Provide data related to competitors, the market, product and capability positioning, revenue and unit or capacity forecasting working with planning functions, identifying key business priorities, and pricing strategies.
  • Develop long-range product strategies and guide fiscal planning for future positioning, growth, and evolution of the SU products. This includes identifying, establishing, and leading strategic collaborations, customers, suppliers, and industry opinion leaders.
  • Partner with sales to define go-to-market effort and work hand-in-hand with our commercial teams to implement commercial strategies.
  • Enhance market share gain and customer satisfaction for single use products.
  • Drive demand through impactful sales and marketing campaigns.
  • Participate in senior leadership team meetings and strategic planning, including setting objectives and strategies as well as taking accountability for implementation and results.
  • Work collaboratively in a highly matrixed organization to achieve results including driving cross-business unit and divisional initiatives.
  • Be a single use subject matter expert for the single use portfolio to build broad based expertise in sales and marketing functions.
  • Represent Avantor at conferences and tradeshows
  • Effectively communicate product strategy and tactics to the market.

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$117,000.00 - $195,000.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
