SUMMARY: Responsible for facilitating work flow processes for plant maintenance team, coordinating labor tasks and schedules for plant maintenance team, leading in-progress work activities in accordance with company policy.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  1. Be knowledgeable of the OSHA VPP Star Certification requirements and assist in obtaining and maintaining of this certification.
  2. Be knowledgeable of corporate S.A.F.E. Audit, and maintain procedures and equipment that ensure world-class audit scores.
  3. Assist in the plant wide enforcement of all safety rules and regulations.
  4. Assist in the plant wide enforcement of all environmental rules and regulations.
  5. Actively participate in the plant safety process, including participation on a safety team.
  6. Actively participate in plant labor stabilization meetings.
  7. Assist the Engineering Services Manager in training, developing, and coaching team members.
  8. Foster a working environment that promotes open communications, teamwork, and individual engagement to accomplish goals and objectives.
  9. Track associate hours, absences, and vacations.
  10. Track and evaluate and review associate performance.
  11. Review and evaluate associate training progression. Regularly review with associates.
  12. Coordinate future training of associates and recommend skills based promotions to Engineering Services Manager.
  13. Conduct contractor and shop safety audits and perform tool inspections.
  14. Review associate work schedules daily for maintenance team.
  15. Coordinate maintenance activities and required downtime with applicable operations team.
  16. Coordinate with work planners for scheduling of work activities on a short term (1-3 week) basis.
  17. Review work schedule daily with shop personnel and adjust if necessary to meet plant needs.
  18. Make schedule adjustments and redirect workforce in the event work is completed early, late, or emergency work intervenes.
  19. Develop and review preventative and proactive maintenance task; coordinate with Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Facilitators for unification of practices for plant-wide equipment.
  20. Coordinate with manager and Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Facilitators from other areas of responsibility for shared use of resources, particularly during outages and major breakdowns.
  21. Attend or leads bi-weekly planning and scheduling working team meeting for area of responsibility.
  22. Answer general questions pertaining to completion of work orders such as scope, equipment, processing, downtime, etc.
  23. Conduct morning meetings to transition shifts, cover relative plant status information, and address "red list" items within area of responsibility.
  24. Perform work and area audits to ensure work completed and work site housekeeping is maintained.
  25. Communicate with applicable operations area to coordinate necessary permits and exceptions prior to commencement of work.
  26. Identify recurring maintenance problems and cooperate with plant engineers/managers to prevent reoccurrence.
  27. Review completed work orders for proper documentation of parts, confirmed time and notes.
  28. Coordinate with maintenance personnel to determine job plan feedback on completed work orders.
  29. Ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner
  30. Update Maintelligence database to reflect all of the above activities with the most accurate information.
  31. Maintain outstanding housekeeping in all areas of responsibility. Assist in developing and implementing projects to improve housekeeping in all areas of the plant.
  32. Perform other duties as requested by the manager.

Qualifications-Preferred:

  • Project Management skills
  • Prior/Current leadership role(s) demonstrating ability to lead a large group of individuals

Qualifications-Required:

  • Strong background in industrial maintenance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and ownership with little supervision
  • Ability to climb stairs and obtain medical clearance for full face respirator
  • Strong problem-solving capability
  • Demonstrated ability to lead team members
