OverviewAs a Microsoft Senior Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician (DIAT), you will prioritize and assign ticketed work to technicians on the team, provide guidance on inbound/outbound logistics tasks, and ensure that inventory balances are accurate. This opportunity will allow you to demonstrate your expertise in standard processes and procedures for Inventory & Asset Management and develop skills around mentorship of peer technicians accelerating your career growth in the process. ResponsibilitiesYou will train your team to safely move racks, ensure they are in compliance with heavy-lifting equipment requirements, and enforce other safety standards. You'll also assign out ticketed work, and use knowledge and technical skills to resolve escalations and remove roadblocks.You will direct the flow of packages from preparation to shipment, as well as provide technical support and guidance to teams responsible for incoming/outgoing deliveries. You'll also ensure teams keep an accurate inventory balance.You will maintain a strong stakeholder focus to improve quality and ensure customers receive a high return on investment. You'll also focus on optimizing resources as you seek out information about the underlying needs of customers.You will ensure teams process failed vendor hardware devices as needed, and act as the Subject Matter Expert for the warranty process. You'll also manage the schedule of data-bearing device destruction, ensure your team is following all necessary procedures, and perform destruction as necessary.You will learn about different suppliers and when to engage them, execute purchase orders and contracts, and help senior leadership with escalated procurement issues. You'll also improve existing workstream processes, services, and solutions.Embody our culture and values. |
