Responsibilities

We are hiring a Budget Analyst and Procurement Manager supporting USSTRATCOM in Bellevue, Nebraska.

What you'll do:

    The Budget Analyst and Procurement Manager is a dynamic role managing the ongoing financial and procurement teams.
  • The candidate will be responsible for an array of essential tasks aimed at ensuring the financial health and alignment of work to cost centers, as well as a myriad of procurement activities that encompass a large program.
  • The Manager will actively support the PFA's formulation, support, and execution of the Contracts Budget.
  • A key aspect of the role involves supporting the meticulous monitoring of budgets tailored to meet both internal and external requirements.
  • In addition, leading the program's Procurement Analysts supporting a large Department of Defense (DoD) contract with a multi-million-dollar yearly procurement budget.
  • This responsibility extends beyond traditional budgetary tasks, encompassing a strategic mindset to align financial resources.
  • The candidate will engage in collaborative efforts with cross-functional teams, fostering effective communication and coordination.

Ultimately, this role requires a dynamic individual who can lead people, understand and navigate financial intricacies, adhere to FAR/DFAR regulations and contribute strategically to the objectives and goals of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support budget program execution, ensuring alignment with available resources and programmatic goals.
  • Assist in developing, reviewing, and responding to budget exercise submissions to align with organizational strategic goals.
  • Aid PFA in developing fiscal guidance and implementation schedules for each budget phase, subject to customer review and acceptance.
  • Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and recommend process enhancements.
  • Collect and analyze various financial reports and data calls.
  • Develop standard operating procedures and deliver training to internal stakeholders.
  • Generate Request to Initiate Purchases (RIPs) and Travel Authorization Requests (TARs), track through the approval process, and ensure timely purchase and delivery of goods and services.
  • Responsible to ensure procurements are accurate and processed within the defined * Service Level Agreement (SLA) measurements.
  • Record accurate cost and funding data for RIPs and TARs.
  • Maintain logs and generate regular reports on procurement activities, performance metrics, and cost savings for senior management.
  • Ensure that procurement activities adhere to customer and company standards
  • Maintain relationships with vendors. Work with vendors to obtain quotes and resolve issues.
  • Responsible for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations which support program planning and operations.


Qualifications

6 years of experience wih the following:

  • Experience working in government contracting/finance/procurement
  • Proven expertise of government budget activities
  • Must have an active TS/SCI clearance

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
