Senior Manufacturing Operations Support Analyst

As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen.

This position will support managers, project team leaders, and other manufacturing personnel by tracking and analyzing operations at a high level to ensure overall effective operation of the organization. Tasks include (i) review and edit drafts of PMD Standard Operating Procedures, desk guides, and user manuals; (ii) review of existing PMD business support databases and provide modifications to them or create new ones; (iii) review existing PMD forms and reports and either provide modifications or develop new forms and reports; and (iv) provide data collection and data mining, analysis, and preparation of spreadsheets and charts used in presentations.

Compensation & Benefits:



  • Estimated Starting Salary Range for Senior Manufacturing Operations Support Analyst: $90,000 - $125,000
  • Pay commensurate with experience.
  • Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.


Senior Manufacturing Operations Support Analyst Responsibilities Include:



  • Collect and analyze data related to manufacturing processes, production efficiency, and resource utilization.
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics, dashboards, and reports for management.
  • Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for cost reduction in manufacturing processes.
  • Propose and implement process optimization strategies to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Assist in production scheduling and capacity planning to meet demand while minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with production teams to forecast requirements and balance workloads.
  • Monitor production quality metrics and ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Analyze costs associated with materials, labor, and equipment to identify opportunities for savings.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Work with engineering, supply chain, and production teams to address operational challenges.
  • Support the implementation and management of manufacturing software and tools (e.g., ERP or MES systems).
  • Train staff on new systems and ensure data accuracy.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in manufacturing operations.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to production processes and resource utilization.
  • Reviews, evaluates, and implements engineering changes and specifications requirements.
  • Analyze and review budgets, schedules, production requirements and headcount to determine the most cost-effective methods of obtaining necessary resources.
  • Prepares engineering documents including cost estimates, appropriation requests, project schedules, design specifications, inspection procedures, instruction specifications, labels, purchase requisitions, operating manuals, and technical reports.
  • Support all safety rules, procedures, and standards.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.



Senior Manufacturing Operations Support Analyst Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:



  • This position requires a bachelor's degree (B.S. in industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, or electrical engineering preferred). A high school diploma with at least ten years of specialized experience working with the production management tools (e.g. software systems, standard operation procedures, and manuals) used to manage prototype and manufacturing operations may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • At least ten years of experience working with and managing production support data, performing data analysis, and evaluating processes, practices, and applications is required. Experience using a computer based production control system is required. At least two years of experience generating reports from standard databases (e.g. Oracle, SQL, MS Access, or MS Excel) is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of engineering concepts, manufacturing, production standards and efficiency optimization tools; process oriented.
  • Knowledge of various software applications: database, design, inventory, and Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to properly manage and prioritize resources, people, and projects.
  • Ability to work in high production environment and respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines, have a defined sense of urgency as required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; telephone skills; patience.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
