Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW

To effectively control quality inspection plans and lots, raw material certifications and product certifications within the quality systems. Additional support will be given in complaints, sample retention, internal auditing and other clerical duties.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • Awareness of and adherence to all suitable and relevant Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Develop new inspection plans, revise current inspection plans and ensure data specialists are provided accurate information for data entry. Investigate issues and follow-through to resolution.
  • Supports quality activities with suppliers, using appropriate communication skills. These activities include the entry and processing of supplier complaints as well as necessary follow-through with any required reports and corrective action findings.
  • Creates new product certification profiles and maintain all product certification profiles within SAP. Investigate issues and follow-through to resolution. Create product certifications (COA's and COC's) for shipments within SAP. Investigate issues and follow-through to resolution.
  • Review raw material certifications to ensure data is within specification. Maintain approval status within SAP. Investigate issues and follow-through to resolution.
  • Review production lot quality data and perform closure transactions within SAP. Investigate issues and follow-through to resolution.
  • Ensure sampling methods are kept current by developing new methods and revising current methods as requirements change. Ensure customer requests for Sales samples are received in a timely manner.
  • Participate in supplier and customer quality audits, as needed.
  • Back-up support for internal and customer complaint system.
  • Support Quality Management System.
  • Adheres to Amcor core values and actively contributes to a outperformance culture.
  • Flawless execution of information transfer to the manufacturing team when creating and updating routings.
  • Improved Process Control System by partnering with Quality Manager to capture information to analyze the data the routings are requesting.
  • Continuous improvement in the process of ensuring all Quality and Technical information is available to each department for each production, by successfully managing all aspects of the job ticket flow and filing.
  • Assist in the training of quality and production personnel to include the accurate performance of test methods, work instructions and standard operating procedures.

WHAT WE VALUE

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all personnel.
  • Proficient computer and data entry skills required. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office products is desired.
  • Attention to detail required.
  • Motivated and self-managing.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • A general understanding of relevant quality standards is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with electronic systems used at site including electronic training systems, AS400.

  • Associate Degree in a relevant field preferred or equivalent relevant experience (2+ years) in quality assurance or manufacturing roles.
