Job Description

The Marketing Automation Manager is primarily responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing email marketing campaigns to engage our customer base, drive leads, and contribute to our overall marketing strategy. This role will help drive automated email efforts supporting acquisition, retention, and growth strategies across our Business to Business (B2B) and Business to Consumer (B2C) lines of business.

This individual will play an integral part in campaign management, monthly reporting, and providing recommendations for enhancements to optimize lead generation and the client experience.

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • You will design and execute email marketing campaigns, in collaboration with marketing teams, using Eloqua (temporarily) and Marketo.
  • You will be responsible for daily hands- on work including builds/sends, landing pages, dynamic content, A/B tests, list imports and database management.
  • You will monitor, analyze and report on campaign performance with an eye toward continuous improvement.
  • You will maintain/update email templates to ensure consistent branding and compliance.
  • You will support troubleshooting efforts related to email deliverability, rendering issues and spam filtering.
Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree in marketing or business-related field of study and 4+ years of directly related experience in email marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bank and/or financial services related experience with basic knowledge of consumer banking products preferred.

  • Proficiency in HTML coding and CSS for email template & landing page creation
  • Experience with Marketo
  • Familiarity with Marketo tokens, dynamic content and velocity scripting preferred
  • Marketo certification highly desirable
  • Experience with a ticket-based work management system like Workfront, Optimizely, Asana, JIRA, etc.
  • Experience building integrated campaigns via Salesforce
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple email tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of email client rendering issues and how to address/solve them.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality, error-free emails.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
  • Experience using data to enhance or recommend improvements to increase optimization
  • Understanding of the latest data privacy requirements including CANSPAM and CCPA
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
