PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Sourcing Leader is responsible for the development and execution of strategic procurement plans to ensure cost effective procurement of asphalt and other raw materials for the company's network of Asphalt plants. Through the use of analytics, and optimization resources, this individual will partner with Planning, S&T, Business Leaders, Finance, Commercial Team, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to gain and provide insight towards improving supplier lead times, order quantities, and inventory management that results in working capital savings and cost reduction. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate activities across internal functional areas as well as with external vendors, carriers and plant personnel. The Asphalt Sourcing Leader will source with intent, and demonstrate strategic capacities to achieve sustainable competitive advantage, and greater shareholder value. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Sourcing activities
- Establish and advance supplier relationships using supplier management principles to drive results and advance strategic initiatives
- Develop and implement long term business strategies for assigned region that align with the Roofing and Asphalt's overall business strategy
- Become market expert in assigned area, acquiring a deep understanding of the asphalt market participants capabilities and shortfalls to leverage and strengthen the supply portfolio
- Procures asphalt and chemical raw materials for asphalt plants to support finished goods production schedule
- Obtains accurate vendor data for entry in SAP including material master, vendor master, info records etc.
- Executes inventory management principles
- Continuously improves sourcing processes with the objective of eliminating waste and minimizing manual system workarounds
- Leads productivity projects for raw materials
- Partner with internal stakeholders on goods receipts not invoiced (GRNI's) and kick outs to ensure suppliers are paid promptly, root cause and take action to prevent future recurrences
- Acts as a liaison between production planning, operations, commercial sales, and external suppliers in managing the supply of raw materials
- Maintains and manages supply-demand balances and inventory levels of key raw materials
Plant Partnership and Impact
- Develop influential working relationship with the asphalt plant teams and key business partners by providing insight and advice that consistently improves thinking and decision-making processes and outcomes.
- Deeply understands the requirements and constraints of the plant and acts decisively to shape its outcome by influencing suppliers, transportation & sourcing through execution. Takes initiative and articulates ideas passionately and persuasively.

Insights and Analysis
- Provide effective and timely information, thoughtful business insights/analytics and business performance evaluations to ensure the business meets their operations plan
- Identify value creation opportunities and risks the business must address. Build credible business plans and ensure the correct amount of resources exist to mitigate risk or realize opportunities
- Ability to identify opportunities to expand or improve network procurement processes to allow for product, asset, and logistical optimization
- Advanced capacity to grasp volumetric balancing of raw materials across multiple source points, destinations sites, and transportation modes
- Ability to comprehend and service complex raw material blending requirements at the site level and across the plant network

JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business or a related field
- General experience in procurement, supply chain, customer service, or materials management role considered
- Familiarity with commercial negotiations, order fulfillment, and network optimization software programs (i.e. SAP, Excel, Power BI)
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years' of procurement experience
- Background in oil & gas sector or experience in sourcing commodities
- Master of Business Administration, or related field
