Job Summary

Coordinates and administers the operational activities associated with the Health Services Administration Online programs to include processes and provide support to the students and faculty of the online programs. The position's sole responsibility is for the oversight, quality control, and management of online courses. This position will report to and assist the Chair of the Health Services Administration department.

  • Coordinates and administers the operational and administrative activities of the HSA Online programs and Department Chairs. Assist the Department Chairs in ensuring operational timelines and processes are adhered to, met, and documented.
  • Provides ongoing assistance to faculty members of the HSA Online programs.
  • Coordinates and executes the development and implementation of new and ongoing academic student programs or services in the HSA Online programs. Provides recommendations regarding online operational procedure changes in support of the strategic goals and initiatives.
  • Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with department chairs, faculty and staff. Provides support to faculty members and ensures their needs are met related online academic & program matters.
  • Serves as HSA online liaison between internal and external contacts regarding the online programs and procedures.
  • Serves as HSA online liaison between faculty and FIU Online course designer each semester. Assist faculty and adjunct instructors teaching online courses with developing and preparation of online and hybrid courses.
  • Assists with establishing and maintaining academic standards and degree requirements, accreditation matters, as appropriate. Manages the student files and records in accordance with Program and accreditation requirements.
  • Coordinates logistical matters related to the HSA Online program projects including planning, initiation, implementation, and evaluation. Oversees and manages short and long-range planning for college/department educational technology initiatives. Coordinates efforts between faculty and FIU Online and works closely with key stakeholders, faculty and staff all College locations.
  • Provides input and makes recommendations in the preparation of strategic plans in support of the HSA Online programs.
  • Monitors and provides technical support for fully online/hybrid courses.
  • Manages and administers administrative duties to support the HSA online programs by managing ListServs, assisting with accreditation, drafting departmental meeting minutes, compiling documents for faculty evaluations, etc.
  • Evaluates HSA program student engagement by recommending technological tools and assignments, managing the HSA Social Media Accounts, manage and develop HSA departmental Newsletter.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of office or related experience.

Desired Qualifications

Ability to work with Microsoft programs (i.e. Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.). Experience with Learning Management Systems, in particular, CANVAS.
