Account Officer, Norwalk, OH
The Account Offi cer combines their agricultural and business knowledge with an in-depth understanding of each customer's farm operation's financial position in order to provide innovative solutions to support and grow the customer's ongoing farm operation. Be a specialist in evaluating financial status and credit worthiness of borrowers while performing credit and lending activities within the limits of delegated authority. Works with Marketing to develop sales and marketing strategies and member programs to grow and develop new and existing business. Compiles reports as assigned by supervisor. Attends and participates in local agri-business activities.
What You'll Do:
- Manage Loan Portfolio: Structure credit, review, financial statements, and assess applicants' financial status to recommend loan approvals.
- Customer Service Excellence: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering industry expertise and advising them on the best fina ncial solutions for their operations.
- Business Development: Generate leads, expand your client base, and maintain connections with existing customers to drive business growth.
- Community Engagement: Represent AgCredit at local agriculture events, including farm visits, county fairs, and industry meetings, to foster positive community relationships.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth loan processing and office operations.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture, Economics, or Finance.
- 2-3 years of agricultural lending sales, or marketing experience.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with financial databases and spreadsheets.
- Ability to travel and engage with clients on-site to evaluate their operations.
