We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who will support and advise the government software lead in a high-visibility government missile program office to provide oversight and review of OEM software products and processes. In this role you will oversee weapon system software prioritization, planning, and execution to ensure required capability coverage and compatibility between hardware, software component capabilities, test events, field updates, and development/test timelines. You will work with government and OEM software teams to align capabilities and schedules across all weapon system software products and stakeholders into a roadmap and help keep the products synchronized as plans shift. You will monitor planning and execution of System/PIDS level verification activities and associated hardware needs. You will monitor planning and execution of system level validation activities and support identification of future capability needs.You will analyze OEM plans for software modernization to find opportunities to optimize and resolve conflicts and interdependencies between software products and their associated hardware development efforts. You will apply organizational skills and demonstrate the ability to work well withothers. You will need to exercisestrong written and oral communication skills and be able to multi-task with strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills.
