Quality Shift Lead - 1st Shift (7AM-3PM) $31.50/hr.

Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for a Quality Shift Lead to work in our Dallas Manufacturing plant located in Dallas, TX. Reporting to the Quality Manager, Quality Shift Lead will be responsible for directing and supervising quality inspectors, setting up formulations and resolving product complaints.

What you'll do:



  • Direct and supervise QA Inspectors
  • Create and/or modify speculation sheets.
  • Knowledge of injection molding, extrusion, blow molding or thermoforming.
  • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, 8D, FMEA, SPC)
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA)
  • Communicate and work to resolve issues regarding quality, testing accuracy, and QC recordkeeping.
  • Interpret technical needs, write letters, and provide documentation.
  • Manage daily reporting.
  • Participate in problem solving activities to help improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost within the plant.
  • Lead by example with a continuous improvement mindset; constantly be looking for ways to improve the employee experience through process enhancements.
  • Train, develop team members, promote a safe working environment, and enforce safety rules and procedures.
  • Be flexible and willing to adapt to change; be comfortable working in the constantly changing environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.


What you'll bring:



  • Minimum educational requirement is high school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of Quality Control experience
  • ASQ Certified Quality Inspector preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Good understanding of basic math required.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization.
  • Self-starter.
  • Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner.
  • Must possess a positive attitude, be a team player, and have a strong work ethic.


Within 3 months, you'll:



  • You will be immersed and understand the Atkore safety culture and Values.
  • You will have completed any required trainings.
  • Be well-versed in Atkore's Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations.
  • Be fluent in normal cycle counting and inventory reconciliation processes.
