Primary Purpose: Manage and direct large-scale, major projects within the department or business unit. Responsible for the development of work scope, budget, schedule, and resource requirements. Prepare, negotiate and approve contracts for contractors or consultants. The position will lead critical efforts in agency relationships and outreach, management of sensitive permits, and manage large capital projects and programs. They will lead permitting for projects that fall under CPUC regulations, projects that are governed by CPUC regulations but are exempt, projects that require local discretionary permitting, and help develop processes and process improvements for workstreams within the Environmental Project Permitting & Construction team. In addition to the agency relationships function of this position, this position will manage the environmental reviews, releases, and construction compliance of projects, or coordinate the smooth transfer of these functions to other employees within the team. These projects include, but are not limited to FERC projects, Portfolio Project Management, Transmission Engineering and Design, Substation Engineering and Design, Strategic Underground, Grid Operations, Advanced Clean Technology, and the Wildfire Mitigation Program projects. Environmental Full-time Jan 17, 2025 $112,200.00 $140,250.00 $168,300.00 Note: SDG&E strives to ensure that employees are paid equitably and competitively. Starting salaries may vary based on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, and education. SDG&E offers a competitive total rewards package that goes beyond base salary.
