Inova Center for Personalized Health is looking for a dedicated Associate Medical Physicist to join the team. This role is Full-Time Monday through Friday Day Shift. Job Responsibilities: Develops and maintains contacts with physicists in other practices. Confers with physicians throughout Inova systems regarding patient dosages, regarding equipment evaluation and quality assurance. Cooperates and adhere to regulatory agencies (state and federal) in demonstrating compliance with applicable rules and recommendations. Confers with vendors or equipment used in practice (i.e. linear accelerators, MRI, CT etc.) concerning purchase specifications, acceptance rules and regulations. Discusses with patients and other members of the public radiation exposure with medical procedures. Confers with physicians in subspecialties in all patient uses in ionizing radiation. Provides Medical Physics coverage as deemed appropriate to the sub specialty (i.e.. Radiation Therapy, Cardiac Cath.). Additional Requirements: Work Schedule - Full-Time Day Shift Monday through Friday Master's Degree in Physical Science Certification - With time in work experience is eligible to take American board of radiology certification License - Applicant is eligible to submit to become a VA State inspector in the subject specialty.
