Position Description:

The Department of Marketing within the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa invites applications for one or more non-tenure Instructional Track Faculty Position(s) in Marketing at the levels of Assistant Professor of Instruction or Practice, Associate Professor of Instruction or Practice, or Full Professor of Instruction or Practice starting Fall 2025. Rank will be based on experience and record of achievement. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications. Position(s) are 100% time (teaching 8 classes/year) and include a 1-7 year contract, based on rank and experience, with benefits. For more information about the Instructional Faculty policy, refer to the Policy Manual 10.9.3.

Education Requirement:


  • MBA or bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.


Required Qualifications:


  • Evidence of successful teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level in any area of marketing.
  • Strong background in marketing with industry experience of 2-10 years.


Desirable Qualifications:


  • We particularly seek candidates who are prepared to teach several different course topics ranging from marketing analytics, sales management, product and pricing, marketing and sales promotion, marketing metrics, strategic brand positioning, product and portfolio strategy, and customer relationship management.
