As an RDC Operations Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Regional Distribution Center Manager to ensure efficient and effective performance in all assigned areas. You will lead and manages the fulfillment operations including but not limited to the day-to day execution of safety, labor and other operations processes. Primary Duties:
Ensure inbounds are processed timely according to PO Due Dates, deliver on time order fulfillment and delivery for the operation Monitor the daily performance across all shifts and adjust, as needed to ensure KPIs are met. Ensure proper flow / management of work & distribution in order to hit daily client & cost targets, Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to assist team to solve operational issues. Develops a culture of continuous improvement by managing team to identify, prioritize, plan and implement process improvement Train, mentor, and coach team members on appropriate productivity processes and procedures. Managing and driving employee engagement activities plans and oversees strategic, operational plans, and/or projects, of significance to the organization within the site operation Accountable for achieving production objectives. Monitor all production and personnel statistics and reporting in support of the department operation.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Participates in the recruiting and selection process. In conjunction with the RDC Manager, conducts performance reviews and implements corrective action as appropriate. Responsible for implementing performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions. Executes short and long-term organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures, monitors and evaluates operational effectiveness, and effects changes required for improvement.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1-3 years demonstrated supervisory experience overseeing warehouse and delivery teams. Valid driver's license. Ability to obtain forklift license and DOT Medical Card Advanced knowledge of warehouse operations and technology, WMS, RF, Inventory and Computer Systems. A broad range of management skills is required with emphasis on leadership, supervision, motivation, communication and planning. Comprehensive PC skills and have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems. Product and application knowledge, electrical product materials handling experience, and a background in wholesale electrical distribution are strongly recommended.
Physical Demands:
Extensive walking or standing for prolonged periods. Sitting, use of hands/fingers, reaching with hands/arms, talking and hearing often needed. Occasional stooping and kneeling. Consistently lifting up to 75 lbs.; sometimes lifting up to 100 lbs. To drive a forklift must have: close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point), and depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships).
