The college is governed by the University of Arkansas System Board of Trustees and a seven-member Board of Visitors and derives its support largely from student tuition and fees and legislative appropriations. Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties:The HVAC Instructor should have a minimum of five years' technical experience in the residential and/or commercial HVAC field and should be familiar with the subjects covered in class to include standard air -cooled split systems, chillers, water cooled condensers, cooling towers, ancillary equipment, VRF equipment, and basic control devices. Knowledge of system sizing is a plus. Knowledge of duct design and sizing as it relates to airflow a plus. The ability to guide students in failure modality and troubleshooting techniques is required.General Responsibilities: * Instruct students in a classroom setting, by providing lecture and hands-on examples to increase the student's knowledge about HVAC. * Provide lab exercises that will strengthen the student's abilities to troubleshoot equipment and systems. * Provide a curriculum and supporting instruction that leads to student achievement in the HVAC Program.
