Position: Space & Defense SW Test Intern

Number of Position (s): Space & Defense SW Test Engineer Coop
Duration: 10 weeks
Date: June - August 2025
Location: Naperville, IL - THIS IS AN ON-SITE OPPORTUNITY IN NAPERVILLE, IL (NOT REMOTE)

Education Recommendations:

Currently a candidate for a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field with an accredited school in the US.


  • Analyze, design, develop, and test products/services, improvements/bug resolution for integrated hardware/software 5G and LTE systems as per customers' requirements.
  • Apply and maintain quality standards. Participates in process and tool evolutions and improvements.
  • Support the design, build, and maintenance of the verification test lab and assisting tools and framework for that lab.
  • Participate in the automation and improvement of our test cases and techniques, including coding and scripting, and possibly explore the application of AI and ML techniques.


  • Competence in coding/scripting at least one programming language
  • Basic IP competence
  • Excellent team-oriented and communication skills with a strong desire to drive results.


It would be nice if you also had:



  • 5G/Wireless communications
  • Competence in Python
  • Machine Learning Project/Class experience
  • Linux and Linux administration
  • SW/HW Verification, validation, and debugging competence.
  • Security Expertise (scans and interpretation of results)
