As a Solution Architect you will work with engineers and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions supporting the global Front Office Equities teams within the Macquarie Asset Management business.

What role will you play?

As a hands-on leader you will be involved in the end-to-end process of delivering business value. You can speak to a user about their requirements and propose a solution considering our existing systems, vendor offerings, and greenfield development. You will consider time to market, security, cost and regulatory constraints in your decision and be able to explain the tradeoffs. Your detailed design proposal will cover the full stack including infrastructure, testability, data pipelines and user experience. You may be able to start the team off with a proof of concept and can audit the remaining implementation via design and code reviews. You will ensure the final output is maintainable by including automated tests, quality gates and production health monitoring in your plans. Additionally, you will uplift the engineering practices of the organization by participating in cross-team engineering forums and workshops.
Salary range for this position: $155,000-200,000/Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.

What you offer

  • Extensive hands-on experience in designing and delivering full stack technology solutions to solve business problems preferably within Asset Management or financial services
  • Demonstrated ability to select and implement solutions across full stack applications and data pipelines running in the cloud (preferably AWS).
  • Ability to communicate complex technical challenges and their solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to engage with senior business leaders, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure technical alignment with business goals
  • Experience with cloud platforms, microservices architectures, DevOps practices, and containerization technologies. Familiarity with Aladdin, eFront or similar asset management platforms is highly desirable.
  • You will be considered a top candidate if you have familiarity with our tech stack (React, Python, AWS, Lambda, Redshift, S3), our platforms (Aladdin, Bloomberg, FactSet) or our business domain (research, portfolio construction, trading and execution, performance attribution across equities, fixed income and derivatives)
