Position Summary Reporting to the Senior Director of Philanthropy, the Assistant Director of Membership Fundraising is responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing WRTI's on-air campaigns and digital fundraising efforts to meet revenue goals and grow individual giving. The Assistant Director of Membership Fundraising must also work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors; this role creates and executes innovative, scalable, and sustainable fundraising strategies that resonate with WRTI's diverse audience and supporters. This position is the primary liaison with all external membership vendors, ensuring alignment across campaigns and operational activities while maintaining a strong focus on member acquisition, retention, and engagement.


Responsible for completing other job-related duties as assigned.


This position includes potential interaction with minors.


FBI Fingerprinting, Child Abuse and Criminal History clearances are required prior to start date.



Required Education and Experience: *Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of fundraising and/or marketing experience *A minimum of 1 year of broadcast marketing experience *Knowledge and experience with CRM platforms and data analysis practices *Experience managing contractors and suppliers *An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered


Preferred: *Proven experience of success in fundraising, marketing, or related roles, preferably in public media or nonprofit sectors *Experience in managing fundraising and marketing campaigns, including data-informed analysis and optimization *Broadcast media experience, including writing, directing, and producing live broadcasts and digital content


Required Skills and Abilities: *Radio production experience and skills *Experience directing on-air talent *Digital marketing system, software, and application experience *Database management experience *Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business applications *Detail orientation and ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision and oversight *Excellent written and oral communication skills *Strong project management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams and manage multiple priorities *Strong organizational skills *Knowledge of public radio
