The Impact You'll Make

As a Product Manager at Lam, you play a crucial role in defining the strategy, roadmap, and features of the product. You are both strategic and tactical. You will span the entire product life cycle, from definition and planning to production release, upgrades, and end-of-life. Your leadership skills will be vital in ensuring cross-functional collaboration across different departments to drive the success of the portfolio of products. With your expertise in both business and technical domains, you'll bring the product vision to life for Lam and our customers.

What You'll Do

As a Product Manager in Lam CSBG's Service Product BU, your responsibility includes gathering and prioritizing requirements for the products, defining the vision for the product, and collaborating with other stakeholders from the engineering, marketing, business development, and operations organizations to ensure that the financial, business and customer goals and objectives are met.

Product Roadmap / Strategy / Vision:

  • Drive the vision and roadmap for one or multiple products aligned to overall business priorities and objectives.
  • Author the program Vision, setting cost objectives and program deliverables aligned with marketing requirements and product strategy. Holds team members accountable to the aligned vision deliverables throughout the Product Development & Release process.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction with prioritized features and strong supporting justification.
  • Develop revenue growth and/or cost saving projections, go-to-market plans, and high-judgment trade-off between features.
  • Be the voice of the customer for the product development team throughout the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation and definition to sunsetting of the product.
  • Collaborate with customers, team members, and outside influencers to ensure a solid and well-rounded understanding of products and developing needs.

Product Lifecycle Management:

  • Prioritize programs to allocate resources aligned with overall organizational objectives.
  • Identify blockers that will impact timeline, scope, cost or other project variables and escalate to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate strategies & trade-offs up to senior leaders and down to the development team.
  • Defines product and service capability for intellectual property, licensing, lifecycle management, application currency and obsolesce strategies.
  • Adherence to Product Management processes related to change control, documentation etc.
  • Review, disposition and prioritize Problem Reports in iPLM, BOM change orders, and Non-Standard Requests (NSRs) from customers; provide supporting rationale and alternatives to justify decisions.
  • Lead CFTs as necessary, coordinating operations and development groups.
Who We're Looking For
  • Minimum of 10years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Product management, program management, or product marketing experience preferred.
  • Experience in semiconductor industry strongly preferred.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Salary

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $119,000.00 -$259,000.00.

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
