Job Summary

Job Description

The Painter prepares, coats, and finishes metal and/or other surfaces by operating conventional and airless spray equipment to
apply industrial paint finishes on metal and other types of surfaces.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare materials, surfaces and structures for coverage with paint, laminate, rubber or other material
• Operate conventional and airless spray equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metal and other types of surfaces
• Mix and apply alkyds, epoxies, gel coats, powder coats, urethane, zinc epoxies and water borne paint systems according to a prescribed formula
• Clean paint lines, paint guns and perform other cleaning preventative maintenance to ensure that painting apparatus remain in working order
• Initiate and maintain all applicable paperwork as required
• Regulate the temperature and air circulation in drying ovens
• Follow all safety rules and practices

Qualifications:

• 0-2 years of experience
• High School Diploma
