Job Description

Essential Functions

Master Payroll Processing: Take charge of bi-weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc payroll activities. Ensure every paycheck is accurate. Apply proficient knowledge of Excel using PivotTables, applying sort and filter actions, preparing V-lookups, and more. Collaborate with supervisors to resolve issues and meet deadlines seamlessly.

Support Employee Engagement: Support training programs related to payroll and HR processing. Plan HR events creating meaningful experiences for our team.

Advance Employee Hospitality: Create a welcoming and supportive environment assisting with our employees' journey from hiring and onboarding to pay adjustments ensuring they feel valued and appreciated at every step. Lead the student hiring process with enthusiasm.

Ensure Data Excellence: Prepare detailed payroll and employee data reports for supervisors and department leadership. Uphold the highest standards of data security, confidentiality, and accuracy, ensuring compliance with all policies.

Support Operations with a High Level of Service: Serve as a welcoming presence in our office, handling inquiries via e-mail, phone, and walk-ins with professionalism and warmth.

Shift

Regular schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 (with hybrid option of 2 days work-from-home after a training period). Some schedule variance may be required for payroll management.

This position may require evening and weekend hours supporting activities and programs within the department. Occasionally division and campus projects may require additional hours outside of your normal schedule.

Minimum Qualifications

An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Detail-Oriented: Meticulous and ensures accuracy in all tasks.

Proactive: Self-starter who can lead initiatives and solve problems independently.

Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using employment databases (e.g. PeopleSoft), Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS office suite systems. Knowledge of payroll systems.

Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.

Strong Communicator: Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Range: $16.72-$19.50 paid hourly on a bi-weekly basis.
