Intune MDM Mobility/Desktop Support Technician

Position Overview

As an Intune MDM Mobility/Desktop support technician, you will provide level 1 & 2 desktop break/fix support, with a focus on mobile device management (MDM) of Apple and Android products. You will handle both tool and user-reported incidents, escalating issues as needed. You will work directly with clients to communicate progress on tasks and provide updates on support inquiries related to their end user hardware.Insight is looking for talented individuals who are passionate about emerging technologies and excited about the opportunity to work for industry-leading organizations!

What You'll Do at Insight

  • Provide user-level technical support and troubleshooting of mobile devices, including iPhones, iPads, Android phones, and tablets.
  • Act as an escalation point for device support, deployment and management.
  • Assist customers with various device configurations; activate and program a wide range of mobile devices, including cellular phones, smartphones both Android and iOS; submit corrections to carriers.
  • Support and maintain the corporate enterprise mobility devices and device troubleshooting; walk users through the device set up/activations in Intune and Apple Business Manager
  • Provide data entry supporting corporate devices; handle the shipping and receiving of mobile devices; wipe and update mobile devise; handle wireless carrier engagement and access issues
  • Provide second level support to internal clients as necessary; give C Level white glove support
  • Fulfill engineering requests related to moves, adds, changes, and deletes on client mobile devices.
  • Maintain advanced software configurations and recommend new applications and equipment, including service updates and patches.
  • Function as a technical liaison and advisor for clients in mobile device management.
  • Assign and deploy corporate owned mobile devices and laptops using Intune
  • Develop, organize and maintain operational procedures and documentation both technical and non-technical; produce or obtain reports on usage and inventory of wireless devices
  • Formulate and maintain knowledge articles for mobile environment
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, including familiarity with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) technologies.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of escalation for technical and operational issues related to endpoint management.
  • Work with Help Desk and Support teams to provide training, tools, and documentation for first-line support.
  • Review and consult on existing Intune deployments for best practice deployment standards, consolidation of profiles, etc.

What You'll Need to Join Insight

  • Education: BS/BA preferred; technical degree in Engineering, MIS, CIS, etc., preferred.
  • Certifications: Experience with MDM solutions, particularly Mobile Iron or MS Intune, preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in MDM Intune or Ivanti Mobile Iron along with desktop support in a virtualized environment
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of Apple and Android products (iPhones, iPads, Macs, Android phones and tablets).
    • Technical knowledge of Intune and Mobile Iron with a wide range of mobile and cellular carriers
    • Minimum three years of recent experience troubleshooting a wide variety of mobile related issues including carrier and network issues that relate to Microsoft Exchange 20xx (Active Sync) and O365 Azure AD
    • Working experience & good understanding of Azure is a must.
    • Good knowledge in scrips by using PowerShell to reduce the human efforts, cost and improving efficiency.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong attention to technical and diagnosing issues; excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
    • Independent work capability and a desire to grow knowledge and skills.
    • Positive attitude and strong desire to please.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
  • Specific vision abilities required due to computer work.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required, including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate.

Work Environment

  • Moderate noise (i.e., business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).
  • Ability to work in a confined area.
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.

Location and Schedule

  • Location: Onsite in Newport Beach, CA, five days a week.
  • Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-5 or 9-6.
