Reports To: Director of Cyber Security & Networking
Salary: $84,846 - $127,268

As Network Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing & implementing data center networking architectures and configuring & optimizing network protocols. You'll ensure security of data and troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data center networking.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Monitor network links for LAN/WAN, monitor performance/tuning, ensure capacity planning is performed, and proactively assess and make recommendations for improvement
  • Understand networking protocols and technologies, including routing, switching, and load balancing. Install, configure, and maintain routers and switches.
  • Develop and maintain documentation regarding network configurations, operating procedures, and service records relating to network hardware and software
  • Assist in knowledge transfer and training staff in implementations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of LAN/WAN
  • Apply lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position


YOU MUST HAVE



  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (or related field), or equivalent Dot experience
  • 10+ years' experience in:

    • Troubleshooting data center networks
    • Expertise in Cisco APIC and ACI products and technologies
    • Understanding of network protocols, including routing and switching
    • Administering IP networks in a near zero downtime environment
    • DNS/DHCP technologies
    • Troubleshooting network issues & building VPN
    • Using SNMP based monitoring software
    • Administering Firewall Platforms (F5 ASM, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, or equivalent




YOU MAY ALSO HAVE



  • Desired Certifications: CCNA, CCNP
  • Prior NOC Experience
  • SD-WAN Experience
  • Cloud Design and Implementation experience
  • 802.11x Experience


ROLE SPECIFICS



  • Occasional overnight travel required. Must have ability to independently travel as needed, without restriction, by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train for customer/vendor calls, training, or meetings.
