JOB OVERVIEW:

Oversee the work and to participate in ensuring staff clean, transport and store all china, glassware and silverware. Maintain cleanliness in all kitchen areas and back dock. Must be detailed oriented and self starter with flexible schedule based on the event schedule. Must complete pulls for items required for each event listings.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Pull from list given by Banquets Front/Back of House for upcoming events necessary dishware, glassware, and silverware for each event.

2. Search for and gather all rental dishware, glassware, silverware, and any other rental banquet equipment and bring it down to delivery location for pickup by timeframe required by invoice.

3. Train new dishwashers on the requirements and standards of the department.

4. Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of all areas of the dish room, kitchen aisle, and dock area.

5. Ensure dishwashing stewards are cleaning out of the dishwashers frequently, upkeep of the cleaning of the kitchen and related areas.

6. Ensure the garage cans are cleaned and emptied out then returned to the kitchen.

7. Break down trays, set up dish machine, wash dishware, and sort and store all clean china, glass and silver using proper procedures.

8. Ensuring the emptying of trashcans and wash inside and outside.

9. Thoroughly clean dock area and dumpster.

10. Break down dish machine and clean inside and outside.

11. Ensure cleaning of all breakdown tables.

12. Ensure the cleaning of tile walls and baseboards.

13. Aid in the receiving of orders on delivery days.

14. Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.\

Must be self starter and flexible scheduling. Experience working as dishwasher.
