The College of Engineering and Computing Sciences at New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) seeks an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology - ECET (tenure track), that will teach at the undergraduate level and also have the following responsibilities:



Responsibilities

Responsibilities beyond teaching include:

- Student advising and supervision.

- Curriculum design, course assessment and continuous improvement

- Contribution to scholarship within a chosen field related to ECET.

- Service to the department, college, and community.



Qualifications

Knowledge, skills and ability in:

- Electric Circuit Analysis and Design.

- Electronic Circuits Analysis and Design.

- Digital Logic Design and VHDL programming, Microcontrollers and embedded systems, and IOT

Applications,

- Control Systems Analysis and Design. MATLAB programming.

Other qualifications include:

Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology, Computer Engineering/Technology, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited US university. Candidates with a Master's degree and 5+ years of experience in the industry will be considered. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, be willing to engage with institutional student success initiatives, have a commitment to engaging with best-practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy.

New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.



Minimum Salary

USD $75,500.00/Yr.


Maximum Salary

USD $110,000.00/Yr.
