Overview of the Position: The Procurement Specialist is responsible and accountable for Purchase order placement for tactical and strategic buying of aircraft material for customers work orders and stock requirements. Purchase order allocation, follow-up and expediting material for open work order requirements. Manage the Bond self and RMA process. The Procurement Specialist has the responsibility and authority to perform assigned tasks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Education and/or Experience: 1-2 years of related experience in purchasing position or some combination of education and experience is possible depending on experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Other Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret federal regulations, customer, engineering drawings, manufacturer's maintenance manuals and sketches as required. Ability to understand general content of manufacturer's maintenance manuals (CMM's), customer contracts, and aircraft illustrated parts catalogs (IPC's) as required. Additional documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, and specifications as required or when necessary. The ability to update routine reports and correspondence when required. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
