Survey Specialist, Vacuum Systems
position to support our fast-growing Nash Runtech pulp & paper business in the US and Canada. In this position, you will join an experienced team of pulp & paper industry professionals and be responsible for conducting on-site and 'desktop' paper machine surveys, focusing on
vacuum and dewatering audits. Your important work will involve traveling to customer premises in the US and Canada, performing hands-on assessments by measuring necessary machine sections and reporting out on your findings and recommendations. Your ability to effectively communicate with customer stakeholders and decision-makers to ensure their operational needs are identified and understood is critical to the success of this role.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting surveys and creating reports and preliminary project plans, including dimensioning and calculations
- Providing technical and general support to the sales team
- Ensuring good operational and product quality
- Ensuring the implementation of a harmonized work process
- Actively participating in paper-making process-related troubleshooting activities, start-ups and optimization work on customers' premises
- Ensuring good Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) culture and a safe working environment
- Closely following the paper technology market, industry trends, and competition
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering
- Minimum 5-8 years' experience in engineering and/or production in the pulp & paper industry
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of the paper-making process and equipment
- Willingness to travel and perform hands-on work on-site and in collaboration with customers

- This role requires approximately 120 days of travel annually. Some international travel should be expected for training and other business needs given that Runtech is headquartered in Finland.
