Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care in Cardiac Rehab. Monitors patients during exercise sessions. Nursing responsibilities focus on the preventive and restorative healthcare needs of the cardiovascular patient. Provides patient education on disease entities, cardiac risk factors, and behavior modification. Communicates with the Cardiac Rehabilitation Medical Director and the patient's physicians about changes in the patient's clinical condition. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to subtle changes in the patient's condition and response to treatment. Participates in performance improvement and quality initiatives.


Qualifications

Education and Work Experience
    Two or more years of recent critical care/ cardiac care experience.
  1. Able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing with physicians and other departments
  2. Strong written and verbal skills.
  3. Basic computer knowledge.
