Lab Products - 2nd Shift Bonder($18-$20/hourly + .50 shift differential)
Position Summary

The Machine Operator primary role is to operate various production equipment in Lab Products manufacturing department. Machines to be operated may include: Bonding, Friction, Automated Packaging, and Lim. May be required to perform other duties, such as inventory cycle counts and/or work with other production equipment. Demonstrates full competency in the operation and maintenance of the calendar and mill equipment as documented on training records.



Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
  • Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
  • Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
  • Inspect completed parts
  • Test operation of machines periodically
  • Takes Initiative and offers suggestions to improve the operation
  • Fully competent on specific assigned tasks and/or equipment within 2 months
  • Performs work in a timely manner with attention to quality
  • Must be able to achieve production quotas set for the machine assigned to
  • Follows and takes direction
  • Demonstrates safe and orderly work practices
  • Maintains a total awareness of quality practices and procedures
  • Responsive to all production requests
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends (mandatory overtime may be required)


Qualifications and Education

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Must be able to perform each assigned task at full competency, as recorded on his/her training record.
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Extreme patience with equipment
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Can do - positive attitude

Hourly Range: $18 - 20 hour (+ .50 shift differential)
