Description This is a combined posting for a EMT Basic, Emergency Technician and Senior Emergency Technician. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. The Emergency Department Technician performs assigned tasks and activities according to skill level and patient needs as assessed by the RN. The ER Tech supports nursing personnel in providing nursing care to patients and assists with providing a safe, quiet, clean, organized environment for nursing care delivery. Emergency Department Technician performs assigned tasks and activities according to skill level and patient needs as assessed by the RN. The Emergency Department Technician supports nursing personnel in providing nursing care to patients and assists with providing a safe, quiet, clean, organized environment for nursing care delivery. The Senior Emergency Department Technician performs assigned tasks and activities according to skill level and patient needs as assessed by the RN. The Senior Emergency Technician supports nursing personnel in providing nursing care to patients and assists with providing a safe, quiet, clean, organized environment for nursing care delivery. Works closely with all members of the emergency team to provide direct patient care to optimize positive patient care outcomes. Assists the physician and nursing staff during procedures by providing the appropriate sutures, supplies, instruments, and equipment. Maintains proper sterile technique during the procedure.
