Product Stewardship Manager

Printpack is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Product Stewardship Engineer in Atlanta, GA. This position will report to the Director of Sustainability.

Location: Atlanta, GA location preferred, other major metro areas considered

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or scientific field (e.g. chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, polymer science, chemistry, packaging science, environmental engineering)
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in flexible packaging or another relevant industry
  • A minimum of five years of experience in sustainability
  • Ability to engage, lead, and challenge associates at various levels
  • Product Development experience
  • Management/leadership experience is preferred
  • Lamination and coatings experience in product development and/or manufacturing is preferred
  • Experience communicating and establishing relationships with internal and external customers, particularly large CPG customers, is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a group of Product Stewardship Engineer's focused on identifying and delivering commercial solutions across various sustainable platforms.
  • Prioritizing and directing work activity for several product development associates at all experience levels, and intentionally facilitating their professional development
  • Coordinating with our top customer(s), key account teams, and other functions to support customer needs and ensure efficient development and commercialization of sustainable products
  • Working with team to engage with Printpack Technical at all levels, creating many "touch points."
  • Identify new concepts that align with business growth targets, market segment teams, and overall sustainability objectives, leverage resources effectively in the commercialization process.
  • Ability to organize and lead sustainable engagements both internally and externally with customers.
  • Developing/implementing tools and processes to improve our ability to deliver robust products
  • Ensuring communication and collaboration among the customer-dedicated teams, other Product Development groups, and other functions to facilitate knowledge-sharing
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on the status of various product platforms and market development initiatives focused on sustainability.
  • Engage with industry leaders, suppliers, partners, and current and future customers to address market needs for sustainable packaging innovations and solutions.
